With 18 teams taking part in the GFSN National League and Cup competitions this season, gay-friendly football has never been in a stronger position in the UK.

Each team has become an integral part of their respective local LGBT-communities, whilst friendships and healthy rivalries have developed between teams and players from around the country.

Division 1

Remarkably, four of the five teams in Division 1 have previously won the league title, so this is expected to be a tight division with plenty of intruging results.

London Titans are the current champions and will be looking to become the first side to retain the title, whilst Trowbridge will be trying to equal their rivals and grab a title of their own.

Division 2

Spanning three countries, Division 2 compromises the current GFSN National Cup holders Newcastle Panthers and Hotscots, as well as former league and cup winners Nottingham Ball Bois.

Leicester Wildecats have finished 2nd on three occasions as well as finishing as 2008 GFSN Cup Final runners up. Cardiff are an ever improving club and will be hoping to push for a promotion spot.

Division 3

Three new teams compromise Division 3, with Glasgow's Saltire Thistle, Bristol Panthers, and Devon Lions all making their debut after gaining league acceptance in the summer.

Leftfooters and Birmingham Blaze narrowly suffered relegation from Division 2 last season and will no doubt harbour ambitions to bounce back up.

Associated Teams

With an even bigger GFSN National Cup competition for the 2011/12 season, we're delighted to have three teams becoming associated members of the league.

Stonewall of London, Village Manchester's second team, and London Unity League club Phoenix all enter our cup competition and we wish them the best of luck.
