Newcastle Panthers FC

Newcastle Panthers FC were formed on April 2008, by founding members Rob Wood and Russell Potter.

Rob and Russ contacted the GFSN to find out how they could go about creating a Gay friendly team and entering it in to GFSN Competitions.

After discussions with the GFSN the team aimed to achievement league status for the 2009/10 season, and to help them achieve this they have entered the club into the 2008/09 GFSN Cup, whilst arranging friendlies with other clubs around the UK.

Based in Newcastle upon Tyne , they attract players from around the NorthEast area of England and have featured in local Newcastle media and newspapers.

The team played their first friendly match home against the Hotscots FC and have built up a good relationship with the Scottish team.

Newcastle players have enjoyed playing against other GFSN teams including Nottingham, Birmingham, London Titans, London Left Footers and Stonewall FC and are looking forward to meeting all the other teams when the league start in August.
