GFSN National League - The World's Only Gay-Friendly Football League

Trowbridge Tigers FC

Trowbridge Tigers FC is a gay friendly football team based in Trowbridge - Wiltshire. The club is open to anyone regardless of sexuality, level of ability, sex or age. Since forming in July 2009 the club has played in tournaments in London, Brighton, Bristol, Yorkshire and Leicester. The Tigers also played several 11 a side games against GFSN teams in order to play in the GFSN League and Cup for the 2010/11 season.

Trowbridge played their first full 11 a side game against Cardiff back in November 2009, Trowbridge lost 3 nil in that game but have since come on leaps and bounds using over 50 players along the way and scoring 58 goals in 14 games, the highlight being a 9-1 away win against the London Falcons 2nd team.

The Trowbridge Tigers took a team to the Gay Games in August 2010 where they finished 15th in Division 2 beating teams like Sydney Rangers, London Titans and the London Falcons along the way. Following the Gay Games the squad returned to England to win the Bristol Challenge Cup claiming their first piece of silverware as a team.

The 2010/11 season will see the Tigers making their debut in the GFSN National League and Cup, playing in Division 2 against teams including Birmingham Blaze, Leftfooters, Cardiff Dragons, Leicester Wildcats and the Brighton Bandits.
